But, surface vibrators aren’t advised for jobs that use large volumes of concrete because the lower layers won’t be vibrated adequately.

Rebar shakers are a good alternative to concrete vibrators. They are placed above the reinforcing bar and transmits the “shaking” to the concrete. Rebar shakers can save a lot of time and effort, while also reducing the need for cleanup. They are best used for pouring concrete into small spaces.
